Before exodus from Egypt, the Israelites were instructed to mark their residence doors with blood in order for the Angle of Death to skip entering those residences while collecting the souls of the first born Egyptian.
1. Doesn’t this action of marking imply the reduction of the God of Israel to a mere deity unaware of who are his followers or his foes?, and 2. If the Egyptian first-born happened to be a child; a person who hasn’t yet sinned, should his soul still be collected?
