I just listened to yet another attack on David Ray Griffin from supposed Truth advocates. It's a pod-cast of some sort with Jon Gold, John Albanese and Nicholas Filippelli. Details on that in a moment.
The fake Truth movement (Truth Action, 9/11 Blogger, 9/11 Truth News, Journal of 9/11 Studies, Pump it out, Citizens Investigation Team, Jim Hoffman, and conservative BYU puppet Steven Jones, Jon Gold, Cosmos, John Albanese, Victoria Ashley, Erik Larson, Frank Legge, Dwain Deets, and Gregg Roberts) is alive and well and working extra hard to finally put an end to the unofficial grass-roots investigation into the events of 9/11. Their recent well-organized and cowardly attacks on one of the few remaining untainted leaders of the Truth movement, David Ray Griffin, has caused them a little unexpected backlash from several other honest truth advocates.
It's gotta worry them that recently there have been a series of revelations that don't bode well for their Cass Sunstein type efforts, namely the release of the National Research Council's report about the anthrax attacks which shows that the FBI not only botched their second attempt to frame an innocent man, but that they seem to have worked very diligently to cover-up their mistakes afterwards. Since it's that same FBI who produced much of the "evidence" the fake Truth activists use to try to bring real Truth advocates back around to the official story of 9/11, it casts even more doubt on their dubious efforts.
"The National Research Council issued a report Tuesday questioning any link between a flask of anthrax bacteria at Bruce E. Ivins' lab at Fort Detrick, MD, and the anthrax-dusted letters that killed five people while causing 17 others to become sick.
... The report conceded that there were genetic similarities, but not enough to conclude that the anthrax in the deadly attacks had come from Ivins' lab. In addition, the report said that the FBI had failed to adequately explore other possibilities that could have accounted for those genetic similarities. " Headline News
Now remember, the FBI rushed an "investigation" into Dr. Ivins only after their first suspect, Steven Hatfill, successfully sued them for $5.82 million dollars for trying to frame him for the attack.
It's also recently come to light that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce was aided by the Obama Justice Department in an effort to undermine certain politically active writers, blogs, and groups in ways very reminiscent of the old CoIntelPro techniques of the 60s and 70s. The Justice Department recommended that the Chamber use three defense and intelligence contractors who apparently had a system already in place for the criminal effort. The three contractors, HBGary Federal, Berico Technologies & Palantir Technologies, calling themselves Team Themis, offered various suggestions but one specifically sounds rather familiar to those of us in the Truth movement who have been talking about this gimmick for years.
"The plan also involved creating "two fake insider personas", one at VR and another at the unrelated Change To Win organization, which had employed a coalition of union groups to create a non-profit campaign, some months after VR's, called U.S. Chamber Watch. The plan presented by Team Themis, as the three security firms called themselves, would then use one of the "fake personas" as "leverage to discredit the other while confirming the legitimacy of the second" in hopes of publicizing the fraudulent appearance of some sort of "conspiracy" between the various progressive organizations in order to somehow discredit them." Brad Blog
HBGary for instance boasts of previous experience in fields of both "influence operations" and "social media exploitation" in their Team Themis proposal. HBGary's CEO, a man by the name of Arron Barr, lists his credentials: "... the Chief Engineer for Northrop Grumman's Cyber Campaign... Mr. Barr has pioneered many uses of the Internet and new media for the purposes of conduction broad information operations campaigns for key intelligence customers." Team Themis proposal
The Team Themis proposal suggests that HBGary and others have already been engaged in influence operation campaigns of this sort in the past and their contracting with the defense and state departments seem to be extensive. Now, if we compare that to what we know Cass Sunstein was writing about in 2008, we can pretty much figure that some of these operations more than likely dealt with "conspiracy theory" groups... namely, the Truth movement.
”We suggest a distinctive tactic for breaking up the hard core of extremists who supply conspiracy theories: cognitive infiltration of extremist groups, whereby government agents or their allies (acting either virtually or in real space, and either openly or anonymously) will undermine the crippled epistemology of believers (1)by planting doubts about the theories and stylized facts that circulate within such groups, thereby (2) introducing beneficial cognitive diversity.”
… government agents “might enter chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups and attempt to undermine percolating conspiracy theories by raising doubts about their factual premises, causal logic or implications for political action.” Cass Sunstein, President Obama’s regulatory czar
The contractors (who claim to already have vast successful experience in this field) layout a plan to infiltrate certain groups, use other sacrificial fakes (think Judy Woods, Morgan Reynolds, CIT) in order to garner their primary fakes (Jones, Roberts, Hoffman,Legge) leadership status in the movement. Then they can skillfully enact what Cass Sunstein was talking about when he called for "introducing beneficial cognitive diversity" which in this case translates to bringing the members of the movement, step by step, back into line with the official story of 9/11 or using flawed studies such as the BYU paid for "nanothermite" paper or CIT's "flyover" research to discredit it.
Recent success and the illness of David Ray Griffin has combined to embolden these contractors to use this moment to attempt a convoluted smear campaign against him and his years of research, fronted by one Erik Larson.
I recently ran across an audio recording of several of these fakes talking about Dr. Griffin on their pod-cast and though they try to distance themselves from the obvious backlash against this obvious attack by claiming they are only reviewing the validity of his research, they launch right into a personal attack on Griffin by trying to falsely associate him with the likes of Morgan Reynolds and other disinfomation agents; the obvious implication being that David Ray Griffin is in fact a disinfo agent.
"There were certain people that I thought, it was inconceivable to me that there would be people out there that didn't have the best intentions at heart..."
"Some of these members want 9/11 Truth to be about one thing, controlled demolition, which may or may not be true... or the faked cell phone calls... those people put us in the same category as the birther movement"
"There's a whole conspiracy industry out there and a lot of people just want to make money... you know, David Ray Griffin, he does sell books. He's written 14 of them. And he does profit from this.... if he is actually selling lies instead of the truth, then I don't care what his name is" fake Truther roundtable
Now at one point the guy conducting the lynching (uh... interview) slips up and mentions that a previous personality he interviewed made some statement about Dr. Griffin leading off with these "lies" at a talk, but he messed up and at first said it was "Comos", then he corrected himself by giving the other name Cosmos blogs and operates under. This is important because quite often these contractors create multiple personas online and they use them to attempt to create a false consensus of artificially stimulated group-think surrounding their misinformation. This process was also confirmed in the recent HBGary case, but has been suspected by real Truth advocates for years.
"While there are certainly legitimate applications for such software, such as managing multiple "official" social media accounts from a single input, the more nefarious potential is clear.
Unfortunately, the Air Force's contract description doesn't help dispel suspicions. As the text explains, the software would require licenses for 50 users with 10 personas each, for a total of 500. These personas would have to be "replete with background , history, supporting details, and cyber presences that are technically, culturally and geographacilly consistent." Raw Story
As the David Ray Griffin bashing continued their LIHOP (official story of 9/11 plus "foreknowledge") agenda became quite evident...
"As he (DRG) led off with his phone calls theory, when he could have led off with better evidence like foreknowledge ect. ect. ect., people left)'
"He (DRG) makes his case about 9/11 with cell phone fakery, planes missing at the Pentagon, and hijackers turning up alive. These are things that the Truth movement has debunked... he leaves out of his book stuff that ... may not show conspiracy, but shows a lack of truthfulness on the part of the government... this might stimulate journalists to ask questions... missing planes at the Pentagon are not going to be taken seriously by real researchers, real intellectuals, and adults... this is the difference between the adult camp and those who want to turn this into a cult" fake Truther roundtable
The Truth movement never "debunked" these things. Jim Hoffman and Gregg Roberts ran a campaign for years trying to undermine credibility of whatever the strongest evidence we had at the time was and that disinfo campaign started with the Pentagon. Since then Roberts has moved over to help undermine Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth as that became a real source for legitimacy of the Truth movement. Since that time, Roberrts has pushed them to incorporate more and more of Steven Jones' flawed "nanothermite" research into their writing, brought a CDI employee over to help promote the idea that det cord wasn't used in the demolition of the Twin Towers, and used Steven Jones himself to embarrass Richard Gage during his press conference celebrating over a thousand engineers who have signed his petition for a new investigation.
Back to the "roundtable" character assault on an ill David Ray Griffin... these guys can't even bring themselves to say out loud that members of the government entered into a conspiracy prior to 9/11 saying that a "lack of truthfulness" is about as far as they would go. That's pretty amazing for some guys who are trying to pretend to be in the Truth movement.
At one point Jon Gold has to admit that Erik Larson put his article on David Ray Griffin in his "disino" category on his site, clearly intending infer that David Ray Griffin was disinfo. Jon goes on to explain how close he and Erik Larson are and have been for a couple of years. Yeah, I guess they are. They work for the same company. Later, one of them actually equates 9/11 research with a bigfoot sighting. Does that sound like a Truth advocate or someone from ScrewLoseChange?
This audio disaster should make it very clear what these people are and how desperate they have become to try to cling to their control of the Truth movement. What has happened, they mention it in the recording, is that many people, most people, have reacted very negatively to their smear on David Ray Griffin. They overreached and in so doing they exposed themselves for what they are... controlled opposition or pure contractors like HBGary working on a Sunstein-like contract for the defense or state department, infiltrating the Truth movement, then trying to steer its members back to the official story of 9/11.
When finally asked what each of them think the Truth movement should focus on, it was all about ignored warnings, foreknowledge of pending attacks from the evil Muslims, put-options, and their big cause... get ready for it... is yet another 9/11 Commission type congressional "investigation", which will of course, get to the bottom of the Truth, according to them, not just another silly whitewash with a few patsys set up to take a fall for having not done enough with their foreknowledge of Muslim attacks. And that makes this very clear, folks. That should prove to you, with their own words, what these guys are.
Whenever they comment or open their mouths in the future we should make it very clear that we know exactly what they are. Eventually, if we do not let them off the hook, if they are contractors, then their clients will see how ineffective they are and cancel their contracts... and they go away. At least, these exposed incarnations will. Surely they will simply dial-up yet another persona and try again, or they will try other means. But first we have to say that we can't let them off the hook. They have completely exposed themselves as official story believers and contractors working to undermine our efforts. We have to answer every post they leave with links to Cass Sunstein articles or HBGary articles... just let them know we don't need them anymore.
